De facto facts please :)

Hello,

My name is Rozzy and I'm from the UK. I'm currently in the process of applying for a de facto visa with my partner of 18months Jeramiah. My second year visa runs out in January and due to a whole heap of reasons I will only be able to lodge my visa application from Monday 8th, next week.

I am absolutely so nervous that it is such short notice, and I would love to hear from anyone how long their processing times have taken, and the realistic limitations of a bridging visa - can I still work at my current job with a bridging visa??

Aaaaaaah!

From a few recent posts it seems that partner visas are taking to up around six months and beyond.
A bridging visa will give you the same rights as a visa you have held gives and in the case of a WHV that would mean working for any one employer for up to six months.
Given you are applying for a visa that allows unlimited working you could apply to see if the bridging visa could have the six months limit removed.
