How can I know when our secuirty check has started from DIAC website?
Also would like to know if the secuirty check will be longer in case that I have 2 nationalities ( My husband is Iranian and I am originally Jordanian , but had to get Iranian nationality after getting married).

You cannot find out from the web site when security checking will commence and about all you can do is request advice from a CO when one is appointed.
On current processing time trends, you could have a CO appointed some 4 to 5 months after an application is submitted and a month or so after that a CO may initiate an external security check for what are deemed high risk countries and they probably include Jordan and Iran.
That process may be another six months or more.
