Unhappy GSM 176 family sponsored

Hi,
I applied for offshore GSM 176 for myself,wife & 2kids: family sponsored visa in October 2008, till now i have not been alloted case officer. I do not know what will happen to my PR application. My life is uncertain...

It will depend on what your occupation is and whether it is on the SOL#3 as to what the priority is.
Visas applications do take a long time for processing and are not always going to be approved and best approach that people should take is to continue their life in their own country as per normal and view a visa as an option that may become available to them.

My ASCO code is 2221-13 , Marketing Specialist. Yes, you are right..i should continue my life in my own country..till GSM Visa is granted...but they should intimate their final decision fast..whether negative or positive to end this uncertainity in my life

Somehow, I'd not be surprised if Marketing Specialist is on the SOL#3 but do check and there are also notes/FAQ which will indicate that visa applicants with occupations not on SOL#3 could likely have a long wait, perhaps not ever having priority sufficiently high to get consideration.
