Australian Citizenship Cert

What to do?
I was on the back of my Mums Certificate and my brother has lost it. Im living in the UK at the moment and are applying for my BF defacto visa the end of December for Australia do I need get a new one or is my Australian Passport enough proof. Also by the time we apply I will have been living in the UK for 9 months and I dont have a job to go back to so how can I prove that I can support him I have always worked in Australia previously and I have been doing temp work in the UK.

I haven't checked the application form or the Checklist myself and so unless it specifically asks for a certificate of citizenship which I have not ever seen anyone mention previously and doubt that it would be for most Aussies probably do not have one anyway, I'd reckon your passport will do just fine.
As for not having been in Australia and not working there, that is not a deal breaker if you have had employment previously and if you are eligible and a visa is to be granted they may ask for an Assurer of Support and that can be a parent, other family member, rellie or even a friend.
Make sure you read all the eligibility and applying sections closely, use the Checklist and also read Booklet #1 thoroughly.
