PR Visa time line to get in australia

Hi all,
Recently i have got PR visa, the initial entry time limit is one year and the visa will be active for 5 years, my question is, if i cant make the initial entry to australia in due date mention in the visa, what will happen?? my PR visa will be invalid???

please help me if there is any way to retrieve the visa again

If you do not make an entry by the latest enter by date specified for the visa grant, it will expire and to get another visa it would mean applying again.

Thanks a lot for your replly. please tell me one more thing, if i make a initial entry in due time, stay there in australia for 7 days and come back to my country, then how long the visa will be valid??

Once you have validated the visa it is good for five years from granting.

This is a permanent residence visa. As a permanent resident you are permitted to remain in Australia indefinitely. The expiry of this visa does not affect your permanent resident status if you are in Australia. However, if you wish to continue to travel to and from Australia as a permanent resident after the initial visa has expired, you must obtain a Resident Return Visa (RRV). Your eligibility for an RRV will depend on the period that you have resided in Australia.
