Tourist visa

Hi All,
I am applying for tourist visa for Australia. My friend in Sydney who visited me last year in USA is sending me the invitation letter stating that she will be accommodating me for the period of my stay. She is PR of Australia. I will be visiting Australia for 15 days during new year. I have all other documents ready.(bank statements, employment leave letter, my round trip ticket)

My questions are:
1. Should I apply VISA 676 or VISA SPONSORED family visitor visa 679?
2. Should I ask her to mention her visit to USA in her invitation letter to consulate stating that she visited me last year and now she wants me to visit Australia. (To make my visit more genuine)
3. Also I am required to submit personal statement of my travel plan while in Australia (But I dont know, which places to visit in Sydney). Is there any particular format for writing this travel plan statement, if anyone submitted during their tourist visa application?
4. Because I am planning to visit only for 15 days, should I apply for 3 months or 6 months multiple entry or single entry?

I appreciate all your replies
Thanks

Just apply for an ETA is your easiest cheapest one if you are a US citizen.
Sponsored tourist visas are for families and not friends.
