Lightbulb 457 to Permanent VISA Question

Hi all,

Im new to this forum.

Im in 457 visa and my visa is going to expire November 11 2011.
This is my second employer . They willing to give me ENS for the PR.
My first 457 visa is stamped on 2009 Feb 3rd.
now im working as a graphic designer and previously i used to work as a computer technician.

My question is,cant i apply PR from ENS after Feb 2011 ( when i compete my 2 years on 457)?

When 2011 Feb 3 i already completed 1 year and 4 months in current employer. and 8 months on my previous employer.

My other question is when we calculate the time period, we take the granted date or visa applied date?
It tooks me 8 months to get my 457 visa and i legally allowed to work under bridging visa on that time period.

Thank you all

It seems you have looked at the eligibility requirements to some extent and a re-read of Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 121/856) may clarify your queries, ie. in bold @
•have worked full-time in Australia in the nominated occupation on a Subclass 418, 421, 422, 428, 444, 457 or 461 temporary residence visa for the last two years prior to the visa application being made (including at least the last 12 months with the nominating employer)
It is two years employment when on the 457 visa and hence that two years from when you had the 457 visa and enployment on it.
Hopefull the allowance for changing employer and position on a 457 will not see a problem created re the two years needed in the nominated occupation for the ENS.
You may want to see if you can get Immi to advise on that or if your employer is to engage an agent, they may have some experience on that situation.
