How to cancel PR application

I have lodged PR application under State Sponsorship and I had confirmed in advance over the phone that I can go ahead and lodge the PR application. However now the DIAC is asking me to redo the ACS assessment. As my IELTS is also expiring soon, I have decided to give up. How can I cancel the PR application and are they going to return the application fee?

You could let them know with a Form 1022 or just by email.
There'll be no refund of application fee.
