Really depends on what is stipulated on the visa grant and from some posts, it seems that some eVisas are being granted with ETA like conditions, ie. valid for 12 months and stays of up to three months at a time permitted.
There is a possibility of applying for an onshore tourist visa and as long as you have funds to support yourself and an appropriate reason, having an onshore visa granted is also a possibility.
