citizenship by descent

Hi everyone,
Last week i joined this forum with a message regarding the provisional visa 309. I found out there is a easier way to go around it.
Instead of including my 2 children in the 309 provisional visa. I could apply for a citizenship by descent ( usualy takes up to 15 working days) and then apply for their Australian Passports.
After my wife will apply for the provisional visa and she can be given the Australian Passport in Australia later.
This way I do not need to gain a Greek Passport for my children.
And it will proceed things faster since only my wife will be applying for a 309 p visa
Please give sugestions
Thank you
