last arrangements for my application

Hi guys,
I'm applying next month to my De facto visa in NZ and just wanted to double check if I got everything and any suggestions are welcome! I'm currently living in OZ (since last Jan) with my oz partner but we've been together for a total of 3,5 years.
So, look what I've got:

- joint bank account
- water bill on our both names
- emails and skype calls history back from 2007 till now.
- emails from his mum to me
- tickets of trips together
- invitations to weddings
- proof of purchase of things for the house on both our names
- magazine subscription on my name to our address
- ski local passes for both of us
- pool passes in NZ on both our names
- photos together ( one or two of every different stage of our relationship and places we've been together + photos with his family)
- my bank statements showing I've been helping with house expenses and his statement showing he paid for my tkt to Brazil a few months ago;
police checks from Brazil and Australia (I'll be living here for an year when I apply) with translations of course
- health checks (I contacted Immi in NZ and they said I could have them done here in Oz)
- forms 47SP and 40SP
- stat dec from his best friend (who introduced me to him) + our neighbour (who knows we've been living together that long) + his mum + one of his friends who is also married with a brazilian girl and know us since we started going out)

Think that's all... I'm going to NZ just to apply for the visa and then hopefully come back to Australia to wait for the visa to be granted or if I'm lucky enough I can come back with my visa on my passport...

If anyone has any suggestions of more docs or maybe any good stories for me... I'm very confident just bit concerned about how long it's gonna take once I'm on a tourist visa and can't wait to be able to get a job, a drivers licence and finally be a resident....

thanks and good luck to everyone!!

Hi there,

I think you have covered what you can. All you can do now is hand it in and provide anything else they request after lodging.

Processing times are not an exact science, and some places seem to do things faster than others. Keep in mind though that it could take up to 6 months or more, though some people have gottent them faster. Only the CO who is in charge of your application or a customer service rep. from the office you lodge in can give you a more accurate figure.

Good luck and try to stay relaxed

Thanks for your reply.... yeah, trying to keep myself busy to not think all the time about this visa... anyway! I've got another question. I've just been invited to work on the same place I worked last year (here in Australia, while I still had a work visa) and I told them my actual situation and they said they are more than happy to give me a letter saying I've got a job and all to try and speed up the process. Do you think this can help? Or not really?? My sponsor's got enough evidence to prove that he can support me if I don't have a job but I thought it would be good if I had something on the go.... what do you think?
thanks !

Hi again,

It wouldn't hurt if you put your job offer in your application. It shows you have ties to Australia, as well a way of supporting yourself, which are both in your favour and might help in making your application stronger.
