Smile Need some help for 175. Thanks!

hello everyone. I just have a question. hope someone can give me some advice.
My boyfriend and I have already applied 885 on shore visa using my cookery qualification and we have waited for almost one year. However, it is really hard to say when we can be granted as we are in Group 4. By next March, my boyfriend will finish his one year working experience in Australia, We know we can not apply a new 885 visa using his qualification as civil engineering because we are holding bridge visas at the moment. So we are planning to apply 175 offshore visa. Becasue my boyfriend's company got policy which requrie him to be a Permanent resident as soon as possible.
I wonder as our situation could anybody give us some advice for if we apply 175 off shore visas, could we get our PR quicker? And what is the processing time for 175 visas.
A bit complex question. Thanks to all.

Joy

You may want to consider seeing if it possible to get a SMP 176 application in as that will be quicker than a 175 and check details under the various recent headings on the Whats New Link @ Professionals and other Skilled Migrants - Workers - Visas & Immigration , Client Service Charter link there also giving indicative times but expect it to be longer.
Group 4 is a never never proposition.
