ACS Old skill assessment with ASCO code

Dear friends,

I have already +ve skill assessment from ACS in 2231-79 [Java Specialist]. This letter was issued to me on 14th April 2010. This code is mapped to 261399 Software and Applications Programmers nec according to DIAC ASCO-ANZSCO-correlations. It is valid till 13th April 2011.

I have also applied for the Victoria State Sponsorship using the old assessment with ASCO code.

I want to ask that can I apply for GSM-176 Visa with this existing skill assessment prior to its validity?

Is this is valid or I would have to review my skill assessment from ACS again in ANZSCO?

Please guys share your experience and information. I am very confused in this regard.

Thanks in advance.

Immi have in their new SOL provided the mapping across provision and it would seem that the intent is for an ASCO code assessment to be considered as an ANZSCO code assessment where applicable.
You may be able to confirm that via contact with Immi via a prelodgement enquiry.
