FBI Criminal History Check - Please Help

Hi, all.

I have a couple of questions regarding the FBI criminal history check. I am staying in Oz at the moment and will be returning to the US at the end of May. I'll be applying for the De Facto spouse visa in June when I return.

We're planning on getting my fingerprints done here in Oz in January, then posting them and the form(s) back to the US so that my mother can mail them off to the FBI from there with US return postage. Hopefully that way the results will be at my US address by the time I return there in May.

But anyway, my questions are:

1. Does the FBI accept payment via Australian credit/debit cards?

2. Where else, besides police stations, can I get my fingerprints taken in South Australia?

That's all I can think of for now. Thanks so much in advance, everyone.

You may run into a couple of issues, one being if you put in for your FBI report in a couple of months or whatever and then go back to the states in May, it could be considered that your FBI report could be out of date and that is something you ought to check with Immi via their pre lodgement enquiry.
You may not be able to get fingerprints done at any station and I seem to recall most people use the AFP but you could check with the SA police force to see if they offer the facility for immigration purposes.

As for payment, check the FBI requirement under the PCC in an Eligibility Character section and if you scroll back a few pages or do a search on FBI Check, you'll find a lengthy thread with a lot of info in it and probably payment issues too.

Hi,
I would like to know if you got your FBI Criminal History Check? How long did it take?
I'm asking because I'm already requested for this history and waiting...
