Waiting for CO to be assigned-London Office

Does anyone know how long it takes for a CO to be assigned or someone to get in contact with you? Our application fee was taken out a week ago and havent heard from anyone yet.

Usually they contact you when they receive the application and complete the payment transaction to provide you with your Migration File Number. Check the spam filter in your email and make sure it does not block mails from unknown addresses. If it makes you feel better contact the the embassy by email and tell them that you applied and the payment was made but you still don't have a MFN. As for when a CO will be assigned the dates vary. I applied 2 months ago in Berlin and I still don't have a CO.

When you get a CO is like total processing time very variable, totally dependent on applications being received and staffing levels available.
You'll likely receive your file number advice in coming weeks if not already received and as for contacting them about a CO, save yourself and them the bother and just allow them to keep on processing.
