Indian Police Clearance

Hoping that someone might be able to help. My husband obtained police clearance certificates and provided these along with an application for spouse visa approx four months ago. Yesterday he was told that these were not the correct clearance certificates and that different certificates needed to be obtained. If anyone has had experience in getting police clearance certificates in India, advice would be much appreciated!

No Treadmark, that is not the Case Officers responsibility for the information is provided on the Immi site information for those adopting the DIY approach.
The onus is always on the applicant to get their applications complete and correct and for the processors to advise where something is not correct but not to take over in a directing role.
He needs to recheck what is provided @ and also bear in mind that there can be local requirements so he should also check any info on the Australian Embassy site.
