It surprises me that someone who marries people does not realise the certificate is not official!

I know the op is not in qld but here is the link to bdm qld: https://www.qld.gov.au/law/births-de...-certificates/

For the op the last image is the official certificate which you take to banks. Also note that they say that the certificate issued on the wedding day is NOT official.

Anything official you need the one provided by BDM in your stat not by the church/pastor/celebrant/whomever.

Hi Mish, thanks for the info. Mine looks nothing like these examples theres a lot more info on mine and more official looking with registration numbers etc on the document. Things must be done differently in WA. i know my church likes to speed things up to. However i am still applying for the extract.

Just remember it is not an extract you are after. An extract is only part of the certificate. You need a full official standard certificate.

Does your have the Commonwealth of Australia on it? That is not an official one. You can't use it for id purposes at all. I am really surprised your church did not tell you that you need to request a marriage certificate.

Hi Jhosie, this is not really part of the topic, if your question is related to any kind of document that needs amending you can do that at your relevent BDM office. However i'm not to sure what your actually asking?

Jhosie - I've seen you ask this a few places, but I don't understand your question which is why I haven't replied. What about the middle initial of your oldest brother?
