Visa 476: Country of residence

Hello,

I started filling up the online form for Visa 476 (Graduate Visa). On the 3rd page it asks what is my usual country of residence.

I m from Bangladesh, but I currently live and work in Malaysia. So I would assume my country of residence at this moment is Malaysia. I am just a bit thrown of by the use of the word "usual" country of residence as I generally live in Bangladesh, only for work/studies I live outside Bangladesh.

Also, in the section "countries of residence" I need to list down everywhere I stayed for more than 12 months for the last 10 year. I have been studying in Malaysia since 2006,so every year I would fly back home once or twice. When I add a period eg. Jan 2006 to June 2006 living in Malaysia, it says to state the "Last permanent address in this country". Should that be the address I lived in in 2006 or where the address where I currently live?

Any help will be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Yes, Malaysia is your usual country of residence.

I *think* Last permanent address would just be your current address... not 100% sure on that one though.

i think the "last permanent address" in your question, should be the last address you have lived during that period of time.

Yeah, see, that's the other option, GBP - but it's just not clear from the question. Because it says "Last permanent address in that country," which is technically your current address if you're still there. They really need to make that question clearer. Evelyn, you can either use the "Ask Mark!" thread at the top of the forum to ask a migration agent, or you can call DIBP and ask them.

Thank you for the suggestion, I just posted on Mark's thread regarding the "last permanent address". I would call DIBP but I have to stay on hold for a good part of an hour before it goes through. Hopefully Mark will have an answer.
