Email from Immi (309 Washington)

Hi all,

I got an email from immigration saying that my application has not yet been allocated for assessment and to assist with the progress of my application to review the attached checklist to ensure that I have provided all relevant documentation.

Do you think this is a general thing or is the checklist specifically for me? It is titled "Request for More Information" I'm just wondering because It contains things like the medical and police checks but also things I have already submitted like my birth certificate.

I'm just worried that for some reason they didn't receive the things on the list even though I uploaded them when I submitted the application online. There is no name on the email so I'm not sure how to contact them to find out more.

Thanks!

Sounds like a boilerplate checklist they're sending out to everyone now. I would go ahead and submit anything on the list you haven't yet submitted and not worry about the rest. Maybe even go ahead and do meds and police check if it's been at least a couple months since you applied.

Hi CollegeGirl,

Yeah thats what I'm thinking too...just wanted to double check I would hate to not provide something and then be rejected.

They gave me the number to do the medical so I think thats a pretty good sign that I should get that done now

Hopefully this is a good sign...

Received the same thing yesterday from the DC office. Was thinking that maybe that meant they were getting ready to take some action on the application. But maybe it is something that was sent to everyone?

Hi Snowkitten,

Did it also ask you for things you'd already submitted? Like 40sp and birth cert? I'm thinking maybe they want us to get them everything so that its all ready to go when it gets assigned to a co maybe?

Yes. Totally boilerplate. Everything asked for was already provided except for the medical.

Yeah, sounds like they're just trying to ensure your case is ready to go. Good luck, ladies! Hope you get magically-quick grants.
