Working experience for General Skilled Migration

Hi Friends, I have 4 years working experience as a web developer. But I completed my IT degree last month (2010 - December). Am I eligible to apply for General Skilled Migration?
I heard that it is required to have working experience after completing the degree. But I couldn’t find that information in the ‘immi’ and ‘acs’ websites. What should I do? Please help me…

You need to check the ACS FAQ re your own assessment of whether your course meets their requirements or you will need some experience in addition and it is normally post qualification experience.
If you read the recent work definition on Skilled – Independent (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 175) it says employment in an occupation on the SOL so that kind of infers that you have been assessed in the occupation you using for application and you could not be employed at the qualified level until qualified.

You can of course seek an interpretation from Immi via a pre lodgement enquiry via the provision under the Immi contact page.
