I have seen cases recently of 13 and 15 months also. However, the circumastances were different and more complicated that ours with children involved and no income from sponsor etc. Thanks Tanya, fingers crossed.

Kikstaa's partner was from Bosnia and applied through Vienna. I don't want to discourage you, but you should know it can REALLY take a long time.

Wow thanks for that, I think in each case there are so many factors to consider that pretty much each one is individual. I have a friend who got married and lodged their application also from Bosnia in May 2012 and was granted within 6 months and arrived in AU with the partner by Dec 2012. I guess we will just have to wait and hope for the best.

Just an update on the above posts my partner has been granted at 16 months and 3 days since lodgement. Which was last wednesday. We applied through Vienna. Happy days

Thank you. It took approximately 13 months. We lodged the application in July 2013 and our CO advised that it was referred for security checks in Oct 2013 and we recieved the Grant letter in Nov. It was exactly 16 months and 3 days.
