Medicals for Visa 820

I seriously can't cope with the lack of help and advice available. Your directed to the emedical website FAQ's and they're just FAQ's for physicians!!!

On the 22nd of May I did my medical, I had to redo my urine sample and that was done on the 6th June. Given the weekend and public holiday I'd say it wasn't received until the 10th June.

When I've logged into the emedical client it's still saying:

703 Repeat urinalysis Referred
707 HIV test Referred

I understand the urinalysis might not yet have been tested yet, but I'm a little worried about the blood test being referred. Are these two things related?

(My urine sample was tainted with blood because I stupidly went a couple of days before my period was due and started early)

The other thing I wanted to check was, I'm registered at my Doctors in my married name and I signed the form in my married name (although he filled it in with the details on my letter I got from the Doctor at Medibank), will this cause an issue? I didn't even think because I'm so used to using my married name in Oz.

All I wanted to do was call up and see what the progress was. I'm aware I'm getting close to July 1st and I'm terrified the price will increase, we really can't afford it on one wage and with everything else we've paid for in the last few months.

Sorry for the rant and TMI but I literally have nobody to talk to about this and I'm going insane with worry

I still can't get the online form to work and I really just don't know what to do.

Has anyone applied onshore and had issues with their Medical?

I think if I were you I'd probably go ahead and lodge by paper at this point. Online doesn't really seem to be hurrying things along much anyway, and it's impossible to check on the status of referred medicals. I'm not sure if the blood test and the urine test being referred are related... I definitely wouldn't count on this being resolved in the next couple of weeks, unfortunately.

I've FINALLY figured out why the online application won't work. Basically I have two accounts, one of which is from my first visit, I've obviously set up a new one for this second visit. So the system can't put them together so yes, my only option is to do the paper application, which is a bit nerve racking because I'd done all my research for the online version and now need to double check everything!! The lady couldn't understand why the first person I spoke to the other week couldn't see that.

But at least I know there's nothing wrong, I've been worrying like crazy!! Actually got tears of relief in my eyes right now haha!!

It's really frustrating with the medical though, you pay all that money but don't get any info from it!!!

Two ImmiAccounts? Or two HAP IDs? Either way, I'm really glad you figured it out! What a relief. And don't worry - the panel docs are obligated to tell you if they diagnose you with a problem of some kind that you're not already aware of.

Two Immi Accounts, she said there's no way of confirming how it happened but I think it's definitely my fault, I never even thought to use the original one I used to gain my WHV, it was four years ago.

I'm glad they tell you, not that I'm expecting them too but I had visions of them finding something and my visa being declined and my not knowing why lol.

I'm not the best of people to be doing something like this. I think I would have definitely gone insane by now without this forum!!

LouElla i totally understand your frustration. I am in the process of finalising my application too and hopefully will be able to submit my application online within next week. Good luck and take a deep breath.

LouElla I know how you feel. I ran into an issue with my online application as well because I renewed my passport and amended my last name bearing my husbands after the wedding. The online application did not allow me to proceed because the information did not match. What we did was visit the nearest Immigration office and they updated the information for me. I was then able to proceed with my online processing without any issue from there. Btw I wonder why you did medical exam. I was not required a medical to apply for my 820 coming from a PMV.
