onshore 820 visa. do i need ANOTHER medical?

hello.
it's my first post so go easy if it's a dumb question.
i'm here in Sydney on a prospective marriage visa (300).
i got married 30th December 2010 and my visa expires 28 march 2011 so i'm doing my 820 onshore visa now.
do i need to include a new medical for this application and/or a new police check. this was all included with my 300 application.
how much relationship evidence do i need to include. i've got a couple of stat decs. done by family members. do i need to go through all our bank statements again, and all our letting agreements for a whole year?
and how long do these applications take. i'm hoping to get it in by the end of the week.
thanks.

If you've not been back to where you lodged the PMV since arriving in Australia, the police check should be fine and possibly the medical too depending on date of it and you could leave that and see if you are requested to do one.
As for all the other information, yep apply as per normal with copies etc. as your PMV application is overseas somewhere and you are doing a new application and so add to whatever you had initially with whatever else you have.
Some people have posted recently re being told to expect nine months or so for onshore visas, possibly a lot of applications being made and if that is the case, they could quite easily be up to allocated numbers for the financial year a few months before end of June and so there'll likely be something of a hold on processing.

thanks for the info.
what happens between my current visa expiring and my new visa being granted.
as a bit of a side-note i only have one page left in my passport. i assume the time between visas would be a bridging visa? do you get a full page label in you passport? which would mean i have to get a new passport for my 820 page. which could be a problem renewing my passport half way through and application.
this is becoming quite complicated.

Bridging visas are a kind of automatic issue when you apply for the 820 and will take effect from the PMV expiry, no sticker to go in as far as I know.

But getting a new passort while a visa is being processed is no big deal for you just need to use a Form 968i I think it is and probably have a copy of your old passport ID page along with copy of the new ID page, both certified as true copies, easy enough to do here in Oz by fronting up with original and copies at a local police station and usually a senior officer there will be available to do that and send them in.

If you want a copy of the PMV as is in the old passport put into the new one, you should be able to take old and new into the nearest Immi offices and they'll sort something out, even if the PMV is expired and you're on the Bridging Visa.
