Onshore vs offshore for South Korean

Hi there,

I am an Australian PR and my girlfriend is from South Korea.
We met last year (January, relationship started in March) whilst she was on a working holiday visa and then she had to come back to Korea last July.

I came to S.Korea for a month last August and had to go back to Australia to make some money and then returned to S.Korea about 6 weeks later (Early October) and I have been here since, so just about 4 months.

We have applied for an NSW realationship registration. We lived together in Australia for around 3 months but since then it has been hard to stay in the same house as she lives with her parents here in Korea and it's a taboo to live with someone when not married. We obviously meet regularly 5+ days every week.

Our thinking is to go back to Australia (around April/May) and apply for a de-facto visa there as this will give us more time together and more photo opportunities with our respective families etc.

Any advice would be very helpful.

Thank you in advance.

Regardless of where you are you will need a relationship together of 12+ months or get the relationship registered before you can apply for a partner visa.
