How long: applying 457 in USA

There may be a job opportunity for 2 years in AUS. I believe that the visa I should apply for is 457. I am located in the US. How long would that take to apply in the US?

I believe that a medical exam is required with the application.

Thanks for any info!

With the 457, the employer and the position needs to be approved prior to you applying or at least your application should not go in any earlier than that of the employer.
Check out all details via Employer Sponsored Visas - Workers - Visas & Immigration and you can get a guide for processing times via.
