Thumbs down Can't I just fly to AUS and marry my fiancee on just a Visitors Visa?!?!?!

It's been 5 months and 4 days since NOA1 for our K1 Visa (fiancee Visa in the USA) Getting aggravated. This process is only "supposed" to take 5-6 months. I guess I'm just venting in this thread lol.

Wishing there was a faster way to be with him. Seems completely unnecessary.

UGH....: mad:

Hi,

You could do that, but then you would have to notify American immigration, which could change the type of visa and therefore possibly move you further down the queue.

Getting married in Oz still means that you have to put together a spouse visa application for Australia, and with current processing times could take up to 6 months to be approved.

So, my advice is just wait. If you really want to see him, get a tourist visa and pay him a visit or get him to come see you.
