Thanks everyone!!
So, for my partners statement about his tourist visa refusal last year....is this best to be written on a proper stat dec form (Australian commonwealth one)? Or does it just need to be a signed written statement?

We never did a statement just put the reason in the box where they asked for the reason and that was it.

That's sounds easy enough, thanks mish.

More questions- is it compulsory for the applicant to fill out Form 80 and Form 1221?

It seems really ridiculous that the applicant had to record everywhere they've been employed since birth. Similarly, it seems ridiculous to have to record everywhere travelled in last 10years.

How accurate do these lists need to be? They are going to be extremely long if it includes everything. It is also difficult to get accurate dates for all these items too.

Ahh!!

Form80 is compulsary however i remembered someone on this forum that did not fill it out. It is indeed quite silly considering when you apply oline prior to mking a payment they do ask very similar questions in regards to previous travel and previous addresses. I couldn't really remember my travel history either so i just tried to be as accurate as i could. Doubt it needs to be 100% accurate. Not heard of needing to fill out form 1221 though. Maybe someone else could answer that

My partner and I did not have to complete form 80 and we received our visa a few weeks ago. But there certainly seems to be more and more people asked for it - where it used to just be a requirement for people from more high risk countries. Given the time it takes to fill in id hand it in anyway...

Hey I'm doing my application now online. Just finalizing a few things, but with form 80 as far as I know its only for high risk countries.
Friends I know who have applied for the partner visa have never done form 80 and have been approved.

The other form I have never heard of it. The only other form we have filled out other than the applications is form 888.
