Actually I am PhD student I have been in Australia from July 2010, visa sub class is 574

I want to take rest ( I have stress )from my study for 4 months at max and I dont want to leave Australia , some people told me you can change your visa to tourist visa and then you can back later to student visa

I am not sure if that possible or not, I dont want lose my study also I dont wane to exit from Australia

I appreciate if any one can explain if it is possible and if there are other solutions

You can only hold one visa at any one time and I've never heard pf prople bing able to have a visa suspended to go back to again as you would like.

I would think that about the best you could hope for would be to gp into an IMMI office to ask about if you withraw your student visa, whether you can apply for an onshore tourist visa but there is no guarantee and you would need to show funds to support yourself, which you may have for studying.
The tourist visas are for three or six months.

You'll probably find that if you were able to get a tourist visa, it would likely have a No Further Stay condition on it, so to apply for a student visa later you would need to leave Australia.

If you have been credited with any units from studying one semester of a course, those units would at somewhere like a University or a proper college still be recognised later.
But your main issue will be the visa one.

You can check the tourist visa requirements in that section and they may have some concern re you having entered on a student visa and abandoning your study.
If they reject the application and you continue studying to comply with the student visa grant, you should be able to remain on that visa.
