Online attachments for online applications

Hiya!
So we have decided to go the partner visa (After getting advice here that we had enough documents to go partner visa and not PMV.. Thanks!)

We have finished the application (And medical) and are ready to submit... it says that you must submit and pay for your application first before attaching any documents.

The thing is we have actually got A LOT Of evidence which everyone told us to get from joint bank accounts, pictures, A LOT Of joint travel, invites, wedding invoice and about 9 stat decs.... all in all we have 187 documents with more being sent to us from our families.

I just read on the form you can only attach 60 attachments with your application..... how did everyone do it?
Did people make one big document (that has to be under 5MB fyi) with all the pictures?

All my friends who have done this on paper have went on and on about how much evidence they supplied but I dont understand how you can submit everything you need in just 60 attachments?!?!

Help!

I don't believe it's correct that you can only upload 60. You can keep clicking the "add attachment" button at the top right. However, yes, make it easy on your CO! Put all your pics in one Word doc (that way you can put a caption under each one) and use compress.smallpdf.com, for example, to compress it into a smaller PDF. Scan the several pages of each bank statement into one single document... or even multiple statements into a single document. You can definitely combine things into single documents, and I think COs appreciate that. That way they see it all in one place instead of having to keep clicking out and back into another document.

We put: all our cards received from friends/family after our wedding into one PDF; all our pictures into one PDF; all our financial evidence into one PDF with an explanation page at the beginning describing what each account showed, etc.; all our evidence of joint address in one PDF; etc. etc. You get the idea.

Oh I didn't know there was a limit to how many attachments you could upload! I've just submitted mine and paid last night, and started uploading and got an error message that I couldn't upload any more under my file name, however I tried again today and managed to upload a couple more until I got the error message again.

I've tried to condense similar things into one PDF file and so far they've been okay, not too big or anything.

I've got quite a lot I haven't uploaded, not important evidence but still stuff I was advised as necessary, I'm just going to hope I've uploaded the most relevant things and if a CO contacts me for more I'll have the rest ready to send on.

I was doing my best to make things easy on the CO... of course, that still didn't get me a super-fast PMV-to-820 grant, haha. But that's okay. I got the grant! That's all that matters.

Also just a check.... for my statement and my partners... do they have to be on Statutory Declarations..... As we are in Vietnam I am not sure what form I should use. Or can they just be in a word document.

My partner was hoping to do a word document and put some evidence like pictures to back up his statement... can we do this?

your relationship history statements don't have to be a stat dec. But make sure you sign your name at the end of the statements.

As a reference, the average partner visa we process will have around 15 - 20 attachments for the main applicant. Things like photos can all be grouped into one attachment, joint financial evidence can be grouped, joint co-habitation evidence can be grouped etc. There's really no need to go overboard with any of it. I've heard people talk of 50+ pages of phone statements and years worth of email histories....it's really not necessary.
