Question From Partner 446 to 886 visa

Hi,
I知 new here and I have a question for which I don稚 find an answer on the immi site. Hopefully some of you can help me on this matter.
At the moment I知 on a partner visa (446) and my girlfriend is studying here in Australia. Now I found out that I知 able to apply for a NSW sponsor-ship. Now is the question: if I get the sponsor-ship letter from NSW which visa I can apply for? The onshore 886 or the offshore 176?(because I知 屠ust on a partner visa) And if I知 capable for the 886 do I get a bridging visa in this case?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance

Unless you have been studying yourself you'll not be eligible for the 886 as it is an onshore visa and you would have to apply for the 176 if you have eligibility for that.
There will be no bridging visa.

Hi, thanks for your answer. And what would happen if I study a language course (4-6 weeks) and I apply during this time for the 886? Could this work?

You had better look at the 886 and 176 eligibility requirements.

Hi Wanderer,

now I read all the information on the Internet and got all this information what I need.
But perhaps you have a rough idea of my next topic?!

If I pass the IELTS in the next month (within end of June) I can apply for the 175 or the 176 State-Sponsoreship. Do you have an idea what kind of visa would be the fastest one and how long the whole process will need?

thanks again for you help.

The 176 SS has a higher priority for processing and you first need to apply for the sponsorship, there being state requirements ypo need to look at too.
If you have eligibility for sponsorship, all up for that and visa processing you should be allowing for it taking in total somewhere around 12 months and for a 175 it could be 18 months or longer.
