De facto westerners lacking evidence and living in middle east

Hi everyone!

I am Australian and have an Irish boyfriend. We have been living together for over a year already but we do not have any proof as the apartment is provided by his company, who also pay all the bills (except the telephone/internet bill, which is in his name). The more difficult part of our situation is that we are currently living the middle east, where we are not really allowed to live together as we are unmarried. Will this be frowned upon by Australian immigration, as I guess we are doing something that is not exactly legal? Even though it is considered completely normal back in both of our home countries?

Greatly appreciate all your advice! Thank you!

Yes it is difficult and means you may have to do whatever you can in thinking outside the square and not the Egyptian one!
