ACS-Case officer on Leave:Please read

This is something absurd. I feel this is some kind of trick played by the ACS officer managing my application.

Received a mail this morning from ACS officer asking for my Microsoft certification transcript ID and access code to verify online. Officer said this is mandatory please reply by email.

I have given all the details with the application. All relevant ID's and access codes are right on the cover letter (highlighted well). My CV also has those details nicely highlighted on 1st page.

The certified copy of my transcript also has a post-it note on it stating transcript ID and access code.

How can the officer miss this information clearly written at three places in the application documents?

However, I replied to the officer's mail giving the very same details again in the email. In a 2 seconds time I received a 'Out of office' mail from officer's ID stating that she is on leave till 8th March 2011.

I immediately checked the online status and it was already change to "Awaiting Documents" from "In process".

Is this a kind of joke the officer is playing? I am so sure that it is impossible to miss the details in my application she is asking for.

On a second thought I feel that the officer is trying to play safe. As she is going on leave may be she do not want to keep any applications pending on her side. She simply droped a mail asking for silly thing and updated the status to "Awaiting Documents" to make it appear that the delay is from candidates side.

I may be wrong in my assumption.

My question to you guys is

1. Is the application handled by some one else if one officer goes on long leave.
2. I have replied to her email ID which she will chec konly on 8th March. If application is processed by some one else on her behalf in her absence, do i need to emails it to [email protected] also?

Please share your similar experience if any one of you faced similar situation?

Many thanks

Think about it from their perspective - a sticky note could easily be lost or fall off, so that doesn't make it - and the cover letter could have been stuck between other papers, or maybe it was lost do. Things like that do happen. I doubt they would waste their time, let alone yours, for something they could locate easily. After thousands of applications constantly running along, sometimes paperwork mentally just bleeds together, too.

Obviously by their response it's all they needed to finish you up, so at least you're on to the next stage.

I can understand these things as I too get fed-up of work at sometimes. But now what do I do? Is it sense to write to [email protected]. Will the delay to change the CO be more than current CO's vacation time?

However it is just not possible that all three documents are lost or neglected. I feel pity on ACS's carelessness and the way they handle applications

My mind is restless about this. I need this result by end of May 2011 at any cost. Other wise my PR hopes are shattered after July 2011
