Progress....

.....is fabulous!

We applied for the partner visa, sc 820 in the first week of January, and have literally heard nothing since the initial receipt of lodgement email and BVA. I know that is normal, but it's still nerve wracking wondering if you got lost in the system, somehow got rejected and didn't know about it, etc.

Well, we finally recieved an email from immigration yesterday saying that our application will soon be assessed by our case officer and can we please make sure that all our necessary documents are uploaded etc.

So, we waited for the request for medicals so that is what we are organising first thing Monday. FBI check has been submitted and we need to do the Australian police check. We have already submitted our evidence for a waiver of the child medical for My step daughter due to my husband's very difficult ex-wife.

It's been 7 months since we applied and I'm hoping that once these things are submitted that an actual decision is just around the corner!

I never imagined I would be this excited about a request for medicals, lol. I can't imagine how great the feeling of having the visa actually granted is going to be

Loving life right now!

Yay! I'm so happy to read this! I've seen several people on this forum and others post about getting this exact letter yesterday. I'm thinking they've finally nailed down how many new partner visa slots they have for the year (and the month of July specifically) and are finally getting things moving!

Star Hunter, Charisma and Dinkum like this.
