I have just had my full medical done and should get the results back in 10 days time i have also sent the form in for the police check in which i have been told that i should receive the certificate on either the 3rd or the 4th of March.
My question is, should i wait for those 2 papers to come in so then i can send in the application and information in for the visa, or do i just send the application form with the information that i have already have got and send the other 2 information to them when i have received them

If it was me I would wait and send a complete application. I am in a similar position and we are sending the medicals and police checks 3-4 weeks after the initial visa application was lodged. Problem with that is I don't have a case officer assigned yet and when these results arrive then who to send them to? I am worried they will get lost in the system as we have no name and file number to assign to the results. If you can wait then wait, that way no chance of things getting lost!

hi, i did what KandK did too, and i used to be worry that it might get lost or something but then when i call immi office, they actually told me that they received my medical check up result as well as some other documents that i handed in after my inital applications.

cheers

I do not know whose procedures MOs are following but Immi policy is normally that medical examination information should be forwarded direct form MOs to Immi people.
Perhaps there is a variance of policy overseas but given current processing times it'll not make much difference whether you send your application in first or not.

Where it can make a difference is if processing time is lengthy, you could find yourself doing another medical or being left with very little time from a visa grant if it occurs to when you need to enter Australia for visa validation for that is usually 12 months from when a medical is done.

Hi kandk
when your fiance made the application. they must have given him file number because how would you contact with embassy.when you write to them or send them something you write that file number so that they can progress your application.
So far we have got a phone call saying they have received the application and that is it, no case officer appointed yet so no file number or reference number to quote. I am hoping this happens soon but others are waiting one month and still no case officer.
