Visa application fees

So I'm finally (and yes, a bit belatedly) getting ready to submit an application for a partner visa.

I'm trying to figure out how much the application fee will be -was going to post link to the relevant immi page but apparently I'm not allowed-

I'm here on a Special Category Visa, and I don't know which of those it comes under. I'm hoping it's the $300 (poor student, lol) but I have a horrible feeling it's the $2575 one, in which case I probably can't afford to apply and I can stop doing all this paperwork :P

Sorry for the stupid question :S

I reckon it'll be the $2575 for you and I've never heard of anyone being eligible for the $300 fee, but it not being totally clear to me what sort of visa someone will be on for that you could always for the cost of a call check with Immi.

I actually did try calling them but the person I spoke to didn't know (!) and when I asked if there was anyone that did know the call got mysteriously dropped...

I'll try calling again today I guess. But I think you're right and it's going to be $2575. Argh. Seems so unfair when if I'd come in on a prospective marriage visa it'd be $840.

It's not so much that I literally can't afford it as that I need that money to pay my tuition :P
