Welcome mini123

Firstly you don't need to post your question in multiple threads - one is enough.

What you have been told is correct. If she doesn't do her last semester she will be in breach of her student visa. When her student visa gets cancelled her BVA gets cancelled too. Therefore when her student visa gets cancelled she needs to apply for a BVE which comes with no work rights or travel rights. She can apply for work rights and they may or may not be granted. She will not be able to travel until the grant of the 820.

One thing to remember is essentially between the student visa and BVE she is an illegal in Australia even if only for a few minutes. This means that the past 1.5 years will not count towards citizenship.

Good luck

Thanks for your reply and sorry for posting the same question in multiple forums ( I am a new user).

I got your point. Another question that keeps on popping in my head is if her 1st sem units were exempted with 0 credit points, and after completing her 1.5 yeras of course, she is still eligible for a master degree, is she still violating the student visa conditions ? Because I know many friends who just applied for 1.5 years of master degree and still currently hold bridging visa after applying for spouse visa.

Thanks...
