do sponsors get updates or just applicants? PMV

Our PMV was lodged in Turkey one week ago and my fiancee already got a phone call saying they received it and will be sending him something in the mail on Monday what that is we have no idea because the phone cut out

What I wanted to know from other members is do they also keep the sponsor (me!) updated by email on the progress of the application or just the applicant? He has had a phone call but so far I have had no contact via email/phone etc, just curious if sponsors don't get any contact? thanks

Please update your flag here .

In the 7 months I have been waiting for visa decision I never got 1 update (as sponsor). From what I understand (which isn't much), no news is probably good news in this case. Regular email updates however have been sent to the applicant.

As a sponsor you may be contacted if they are going to seek an Assurance of Support, that being based on the sponsor/applicant financial and employment situation.
But other than that, it is the applicants application.

They just contact the applicant like wanderer said only time they call the sponsor if they need something from sponsor or for an interview.I'm sure your fiance has a file number now.they must have sent some requriments documents list to be done like medical etc.
