visa fees clarification

We are applying for a partner visa in Australia while my partner is on a tourist visa since he is attending a friends wedding here.

What is the price for the visa?
I believe it is $1060 but im not 100% sure I can correct from how the table is formatted.

Partner Category Visa Charges

I believe the $1060 are payable by people who are on a PMV. You'd be looking at $2575 ("any other visa"). The substantially higher fee is probably a way of discouraging people to enter Australia on a "wrong" visa. Just to be sure, you should give immigration a call
