Medical tests - sent to Australia

Hi there,

I received an email from my CO in Berlin saying that my 309 application has been assessed and that no further documents are needed (fingers crossed as I assume this means so far so good with my application).

However, my CO advised that the results of my medical tests have been sent to Australia for clearance as per procedures - is anyone able to advise what this means and how long it takes?

I am Polish and the doctor who performed my tests did not expect there to be any problem.

Also, once a visa is granted, are Polish citizens currently required to have a visa label affixed in the passport?

Many thanks to everyone for all the advice on this forum.

You can read something of the procedures @ Health Requirements for Visa Applicants and if the doctor was on the ehealth system and all is well, health clearance should not I imagine be more than a few weeks.
It doesn't matter who gets a visa but most will involve getting a sticker in a passport even though the visa grant is registered in the Immi computer and you'll recieve confirmatory advice.
You can wait until arriving in Australia to get a sticker if you desire and some employers may want to see a passport with a sticker in it or alternately see a copy of your confirmation but the passport with sticker is their better assurance that a prospective employee has a right to be employed.
