Dear Sarah,

As per the above replied,
1) I am planing to apply for a tourist visa well in advance by end of September for a visit to Australia on a tourist visa for the month of December,2011, My martial status is Single as of now, and will be getting married by 1st week of Dec, so when i will be applying for a tourist visa what should be my martial status single or engaged.

2) Even i am planning to booked a flight ticket to melbourne for Dec,2011, so could you tell me what should be the martial status??..
Will it create a problem at the time of immigration since by that time i will get married..

3) What are the possibilities for long stay in Australia on a tourist visa??

4) Whose financial detailed should i attached in an application i:e My Dad or would be Husband??

Kindly reply

If it lets you put "engaged", then choose that option, if not just put "single"

The form you fill out has to be true at the time of applying, if your circumstances change afterwards you won't get into trouble, not to worry. It shouldn't matter on a tourist visa

3) What are the possibilities for long stay in Australia on a tourist visa??
The longest tourist visa is for 12 months, if you want to stay longer you may be able to extend your stay with another tourist visa. However, they may grant the visa but with a "no further stay" condition, meaning you must leave at the end of the visa and will have to apply offshore for a new visa.

4) Whose financial detailed should i attached in an application i:e My Dad or would be Husband??
You don't have to attach any evidence to the application unless it's asked for. At the airport, when you arrive, they expect you to have sufficient funds to support yourself, and you can demonstrate this showing bank statements, credit cards, ect.
