Hi,

I am an Australian PR currently residing outside of Australia. My visa expires next year and I am looking at ways to get a RRV.

I have not lived in Australia since my initial entry and I do not fulfill the requirements needed to get a RRV.

However, my partner will be applying for a independent skilled migration visa, what are the chances of me getting a RRV?

Should I include myself in my partner's application (although I already have a PR visa which will expire in a year)?

Thank you.

It may be considered a strange one to be listing yourself as a secondary applicant to a skilled visa application when you already have PR and your partner or you ought to check with a request to Immi via the Pre Lodgement Enquiry emailing service you'll find under the Contact heading on the Immi site.

As for getting an RRV, it is a requirement for you to have established yourself as a resident or have ties to Australia and without anything of significance in that regard you may only be offered a three month RRV on application.
