Please advise which option is best INDIA or NewZealand?
You simply need to be overseas, so it could be NZ, Bali, etc. I read elsewhere of someone who went home to England and during their stopover in Dubai she checked her email to find her visa had already been granted.

Hi Maggie,

Thanks for quick reply as we are also leaving country but want to know if going to NZ will be cheaper and other advantage is for NZ is me bein Australian citizen I do not need visa for NZ.

Therefore have been thinking other senior members advice as they had been throught the same situation.

Also Maggie want to know if they allow exact 28 days or can be more?

Just wait and it will happen soon it is just because if refusal the priority is not given and I will suggest send a proper letter to immigration from one of the MRT expert which will cost but at the end it will be equal to a ticket to India.

Good luck

Yes you are on right path before you lodge an application make sure you collect as many proofs as possible.

Then get all docmentation scanned and uploaded in right place includin medicals and police checks and marriage certificate , stat dec and so on then lodge application and wait is just around 9 months if all dciments are provided.

Good luck

I am Kumar, been in Australia since 2005 and a citizen.
My family friend introduced Suki in Aug16 over the phone. Since then, we have been in daily contact over WhatsApp. To our surprise, we learnt Anita my first cousin is a work colleague of Suki in India. Over the next few months, we discussed our lives, family, friends and career. During my vacation in October, we spend a week hanging out and thought this could be more than friendship. After discussing our values, principles past relationships, and kids, we plan to date and travel in the next few months. Now we are in a genuine relationship.

Ours families have met and plan for 23rd Jan 17 engagement. Meanwhile, we are vacationing with my friends over Xmas & NY in Bangalore. I am flying to India for my engagement, Anita's wedding in March and holidaying with my GF over Easter and ANZAC Day. Our excited folks have decided on a 14th June 2017 Indian Wedding (Reckon, this is officially recognised by Govt of India or Australia)

Our initial plans were to legally marry after our engagement party and apply for Partner visa 820 and 801. While our folks plan the Indian wedding and we wait on the visa, she planned to visit me using visitors or tourist visa. My MARA advice was Delhi Aus consulate requires pomp and splendour Indian wedding Pictures for a Partner visa and advises me to launch Prospective Marriage now.

My Question,
My Mara reckons, Prospective marriage visa takes about maximum 8 months processing in Delhi. Is this true? What is you shortest and longest time for India and other Countries?

Can she apply for tourist visa while waiting for Prospective marriage Visa?

Is Prospective marriage visa easier than partner Visa to get quick results?

FYI We plan to officially wed in Australia after Prospective marriage visa

Thank You
SM

Hi Rajnac,

Please go thru this 'Partner Visa Booklet' which should help you start. This gives to complete run through of what is required.

https://www.border.gov.au/Forms/Documents/1127.pdf

The cost of partner visa is AUD 6,865 that's roughly 350,000 INR.

I'm about to apply for mine in possibly a month's time. So keep in touch we can update each others progress.

All the best

Regards,
KK
