U can apply 600

[QUOTE=Prathu2921;1829994]Help regarding tourist visa while offshore partner visa process

Hi I applied for PMV on February 19th 2018. My medical and PCC has been uploaded 24th February and 27th February. Now I'm thinking to apply for tourist visa but before that I have some doubt and questions.
1) I've never been to Australia.
2) I got refusal for tourist visa last year March month due to incomplete documents
3) currently I'm not working.
What are my chances If I apply for tourist visa and in what category (family or just 600).

Hi I came on tourist and I left my job. Ask ur partner to write a Stat Dec for you and attach that with your tourist visa 600 application. In my stat dec he mentioned that he will take care of my finances and accomodation till my stay in Australia. Attach ur partners bank statements, address proof, Passport/citizenship cert.
Hope this information helps you.
Now it takes one month for tourist visa to be granted.
All the best.

Happy to help for any queries for your 309 visas!!

Congrats champ. Very quick response, i am sure you have long relationship.
Partner1989, did the Immigration department asked you to leave the country, while you were on tourist visa and then they made the decision on your 309? Or your tourist visa was of 3 months and you returned and as soon as you left the country your 309 was granted?

Becky your post is really very helpful but I wish I would have joined this forum earlier to relieve myself from the Visa stress syndrome :-p
Even I can call myself a victim of AHC New Delhi.

I have a small piece of advice for all those who are applying from AHC New Delhi bcoz I am not sure about the rest, still even u can give a try. If u are either waiting for ur medicals or ur visa to come and the CO doesn't require any other document from u PLEASE write a reminder email to AHC if u have submitted on your own or ask ur agent to do so. U won't believe when after a long wait I din get my request for medical I called up AHC and they sent the request the very same day in the evening. Not only this after waiting for almost 16 months of submitting everything that they asked for there was no sign of my visa being granted then I asked my agent to send a reminder to the immi dept and the very next day they asked me to EXIT AUSTRALIA (since I was on tourist visa) to grant me my 309. Sometimes I think these people are intentionally doing this. I might be wrong but still guys do send a reminder if you have no issues with ur visa and have been waiting for long.

Applied PMV 309: Australian High Commission, New Delhi
Application Received by AHC: Oct 10, 2016
Visa Grant Date: Feb 19, 2017
Eligibility Date For 100: Oct 10, 2018

Hello everyone,

I have applied for partner visa 309 online from India on 25th January 2018. Just wanted to check if I send a reminder to AHC even if I have applied online? Or is there any other way to remind them.

Also, if we apply for tourist visa meanwhile, where do we need to update it on 309 visa application?

Not very sure

Hi shefali
You have just applied in Jan 2018 and I m sure u must be aware of the processing time so u need to wait.
You can find their email id on the website or can call the AHC New delhi n get the email id from them. They guide u as in what to write in the subject line and then u can send a reminder.
U dont need to update anybody when u apply for a tourist visa.
I have been to Australia twice on Tourist visa 600 when my file was still in process. They come to know automatically through ur passport number.

I have been following this thread (and few others), finally I signed up, hoping to get some feedback.

I applied for my 309 (partner already in Australia) in Feb18, and we made sure to provide a complete application, except medical, which I was trying to book the date for.

Low and behold, approx 10 business days and we got a reply from CO, requesting for medical. I got medical done and now we are waiting for response from AHC.

How long should I wait, or should I be sending a reminded to my CO?

We weren't expecting any response from AHC this quick, and I planned to join a job till I get my visa, but now I am kinda confused if I should.

Visa Granted : Partner provisional visa (2.5 Months)

Hi everyone,
I’ve been a silent spectator to the posts in this thread and I’m glad to say that I have been granted the 309 visa.
I would like to share some details about our application and how we cruised through the process without an agent. Our timeline is as follows:

Date of application : 16th January 2018
Additional details asked : 11th March 2018
Details provided : 16th March 2018
Visa granted : 3rd April 2018

To provide a brief background about us as a couple, I reside in Mumbai and my spouse is an Australian citizen. We did a court marriage in December 2017 and put our application in January 2018. It took us about a month to collect all evidences. The attachments we provided were as per how the departments website lists the requirements. Along with the documents, we provided supporting evidence such as photographs of us and our families, receipts of gifts, call records (text messages are not required as per my knowledge), payments made towards our scheduled religious wedding to be in mid 2018 and a 2 page description of our relationship (drafted on the lines as mentioned on the department site).
Also another point that must have facilitated our quick grant was that I uploaded my pcc and medicals at the time of application.

Would like to thank members who have posted their situations and application process that have helped us in our application.
Hope our success serves as a guide for this forum's readers and future applicants.
🙂
