Hello everyone,

My 309 partner visa was lodged on 25th Jan 2018. I got a call and email from my Case officer asking for more documents on 27th March 2018. We have uploaded the required documents on 1st April 2018, now the status is "further assessment". Earlier it was "Initial Assessment". Can anyone suggest what does it mean? Does it mean further documents uploaded by me and my husband have been approved ?

Hi Shefali, Thanks.
The visa was applied online from India and was granted by AHC Delhi.

Also the visa application now has the following statuses:
Submitted Your application has been successfully submitted to the Department.
Received Your application has been received by the Department and will be assessed.
Initial assessment The application has gone through the initial checks. Please check correspondence for any additional information you may need to provide.
Further assessment The application is currently being assessed. The Department will contact you if further supporting documentation is required.
Approved For citizenship applications, this indicates that the application has been approved. In most cases, the applicant(s) will not become Australian citizens until they attend a citizenship conferral ceremony.
Finalised Your application has been decided. Refer to correspondence for details of the outcome.

Cannot post a link yet so, Google for "ImmiAccount-changes-02-Mar-2018" for more details about the changes made to ImmiAccount.

Hi everyone,
My DOL is 7th March 2017
PCC done in June 2017
Medical done in August 2017 (without being asked for)
Since then no reply until 5th march 2018 and was requested more docs for ongoing relationship.
It quoted--"
To assist in reaching a decision on your application the decision maker is bound
to have regard to all of the circumstances of your relationship with your sponsor including financial aspects of the relationship, the nature of the household , the social aspects of the relationship and the nature of the persons commitment to each other.
Please provide evidence to support your claims of genuine and ongoing relationship with your sponsor "
Requested docs were uploaded a week later but since then no update. Tried to email them but no reply...
Not sure if it is going to be another few months or can I expect something soon ..!!!!

what a co-insident I got my CO same date as yours and asked same documents to provide which I did it and waiting for decision. During that time I searched myself that why is being taken long and I found that our CO just assess our case and after all done it is forwarded to delegate decision makers who probably Australia and then her she will finalise case and provide or decline visa.
It will take several weeks. So I think in our case we still have to wait for one month more. If you find something new then update here pls. Thanks

Are we suppose to submit exactly the same documents for 100 as we did for 309 by adding the recent advancements ???
Got the earlier lodgement done by an agent so can we do it on our own through a new immi account ?
Hi Appynavin,

You would upload these into your immi account:

1. 2 current Forms 888 with proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency
2. Financial evidence (post Partner Visa subclass 309 grant)
3. Social evidence (post 309 grant)
4. Nature of Commitment evidence (post 309 grant)
5. Nature of Household evidence evidence (post 309 grant)
6. AFP National Police Check for applicant
7. Annotated Photographs of applicant, partner and families from either sides
8. Statutory Declaration by the sponsoring partner
9. Identity documents of applicant and sponsor - Passport and Photo ID
10. Updated Form 80 - signed and filled

Should you scan and save any original document, they would not need to be certified. It is the beauty of an online application.

Wishing you and your partner all the best!
