tourist visa

Hi guys
first time posting. we applied for my husbands spouse visa in May and currently submitting police/health checks. He is Nepali so goes through Delhi.
just wondering for you who have received a tourist visa while waiting... is the general consensus that it is easier to get the tourist visa once the spouse visa is submitted? My husband was refused tourist visas prior to our marriage and our spouse application.
cheers

Hey,

I generally feel that Tourist visas are easier once your partner's spouse application has been submitted. You can attach a cover letter stating that your husband has already applied for the Spouse Visa and is waiting for a decision meanwhile you'd like him to travel with you to Australia.

Stage 1 - Partner or Prospective Marriage Visa (300,309/100,820/801)

Hi team.

I have applied partner visa (309/100) on 13/10/2017 via immiaccount. My husband is in Sydney at present. Our case was open 28/03/2018 from India and Case Officer has asked for "character requirements overseas" for my husband. My husband submitted this doc in immiaccount within the timeframe provided by them. I have arrived in Sydney on visitor visas (subclass 600) on 09/04/2018 and living with my daughter and husband. Now we are not able to hear any updates on our partner visa application.
What should we do now ??
Please guide.

Hi,

As far as I think, your file is still within the time frame which is currently being followed, its been 8 months for you as of now and the new time frame is 13-18 months, so the best thing to be done is wait patiently and Pray constantly.

Hi chagsprajapati
As previously person said that time frame is 13 to 18 months but best thing is you have a CO who started to looking your case and asked for more Doc and also you have got your 600 visa so you can live up to 1 year with your partner. Once your CO ready to make a decision he or she may ask you to live Aus so be ready for that. It is not necessary that everyone has to wait until time frame. I have seen many who got approved within 6 to 8 months so wait and make sure to arrange more relevant doc while you are with your partner in Australia. Such as joint bank account (super saver), any contract like rental home together, joint property etc. Which could help you more.
Good luck
