Request for more Information Notification: 11 Sep, 2018
Request for further Information: 25 Oct, 2018
Visa Granted: 26 Oct, 2018

We were frankly surprised it only took us 6 weeks to get the visa. I logged the application on my own and thanks to the forums had a lot of questions cleared.

On 11 Sep 2018, we got a notification saying the application is incomplete and they shared the checklist of items that need to be uploaded within 4 weeks. Although I panicked initially, I took my time and uploaded all the documents needed including Police and health documents and notified them a couple of days before the specified deadline.

After uploading the documents and notifying them the status of the application changed to "Further Assessment". I thought it would take a long time before it progresses further but we got a call from the Embassy on the 25th Oct 2018, saying the Form 40SP that we submitted was an older version and we need to upload a new version or submit it online.

I submitted the 40SP online on the 26th Oct 2018 and to my surprise the visa was granted in just a couple of hours of notifying them.
What Passport does the Applicant hold? Indian Passport for American or European Passport?

I was told that applicants from so called low risk countries such as Canada, US, UK & Europe get the visa within 3 months

@ab90hi-
Can I know when did your ummid account changed into 'further assessment'? How long was the period you had to wait from 'further assessment' to visa grant?

To all members-
Do anyone else also here who's immi account shows as 'further assessment'?
Then how long is it for today?

Thanks
