I don't know... Our relationship is genuine and continuing... Even I got to know that I am pregnant on my 23rd week and requested to prioritize his visa by giving all the evidence including GP requested letter last month, they did not even send us a response... Now I am 32 weeks pregnant living all alone by myself without my husband. His visa lodgement is 16 months old and is still processing...
But 6th of December, he got a mail from the case officer asking for him to do the health exam again and indian PCC as those were expired...
Can you believe they did not respond to my humbly request? Immigration and it's case officers are heartless full of heartless people... We had to apply his tourist visa and is now waiting...
The real problem is he is coming to look after us by leaving his job... I had to quit my job here in Melbourne because I was alone and can't travel to work due to my pregnancy... Now we both are jobless and I had to rent a unit as no one gives rooms for rent to a pregnant woman...I'm spending all my LKR savings...
But good thing is government is paying for my unemployment...Not all but at least few...
But if they would have granted my husband his visa, he could easily find a job and we don't need to rely on government...
Any ways, it's all depending on case to case...In my case, we are from two different countries...It's an international marriage so may be they might be checking us more...But we had plenty of evidences as we were always traveling together, watsapp messages as lived long distances and etc...
Now I'm 32 weeks pregnant, having gestational diabetes due to stress...
I need my husband and I know he will make it on time hopefully by arriving as a tourist...So I really don't care about this visa any more...
If they refuse him for no reason, still we will stay strong as one family.... They can not separate us by a visa... All I know is that we both love each other and so our little miracle... As much as I love my little family, I hate this immigration so much because my husband could not even feel my pregnancy and they led me to live my whole 8 months alone without my husband's support in an unknown country...
This is really not fair... But this is our fate...And still my family will be strong...

Can't imagine how difficult it must be for you and your husband.

Hope his tourist visa is successful and you two can be reunited and that you will have some support.

Take care

@prettyisotonic - thank you.... See how unlucky we are because of an international marriage...

Even submitting all the required documents, and this time under a guidance of an agent, we applied for his tourist visa...And that too is still under processing... It's ok that me and my unborn child may die due to stress and high diabetes, but for immigration, rules are more important... But again, because I have lived enough to understand that this land is full of nice and helpful people and even the hospitals, government facilities are much beyond, I am not going to leave this country... All I am asking from immigration is not to discriminate us because of an international marriage, coz so far, all I can see is that the reason they are delaying my husband's spouse visa is that, either we applied without an agent or because our marriage was an international one...
Any ways.... At least if my husband will receive visa ONE DAY, without refusing it, then that's fine... Because I know he will be there for me at all times...
Hmmmm...

I understand how its painful for both of you because we are in the same boat just slight difference is that we have decided for family planning after I got my approval. As u said that you request to immigration for look your application as a priority base but if you see in inquiry form they have clearly mentioned that
Note that:

We are not able to prioritise Family applications solely on the basis that the applicant or sponsor is pregnant.
Requests for priority processing which are submitted without supporting documentation will not be considered.
Even if supporting documentation is submitted, there is no guarantee that your application will be given a higher priority as other applicants might have equally or more compelling and compassionate circumstances.

@suketu - Thanks...And feel sorry for you too...This is really not fair that they did not grant you at least tourist visa...
Any ways, Wish you Good luck...
@sunny - well... Are you sure it clearly says applicant and sponsor both? Can you please send me the link where you got this information from?
Because what I heard was that they will not grant applicant who is outside australia and if she is pregnant...But in my case, I am the pr holder. And I am alone here. I did not come here with knowing that I am pregnant. I have had all the evidences to support that I got to know my pregnancy when it was 23rd week...
On top of it, I called 131881 home affairs no three times and three of the officers said it's a genuine reason to request to prioritize my husband his visa and said as he is in his processing time (15th month) he will receive it without a delay...
And I don't know why our case officer recently (6th dec) has sent my husband to do medical and indian pcc again because it's expired... Is it a sign that his visa will not be refused? Is it a sign that his visa is in the last stage?
I have no idea but we already completed case officers task and now again waiting...

I think it's a good sign that CO has asked your husband to do the medical and PCC again as I strongly believe they are about the issue the visa.

My understanding is that Home Affairs verifies all the source documents to weed out any fraudulent application. Example, they would verify the birth certificate and the marriage certificate from the source using the original un translated version from the Indian & Sri Lankan departments that are responsible for officially registering them. This I believe takes a lot of time.

Where and how did you meet your husband? Since your husband is from a different country they might be a little doubtful and need more evidence to support how your met your husband.

The irony is that foreign students are allowed to bring their partners to Australia and both the visa's are processed within 30 days and the visa fee is only a couple hundred dollars. However to issue a provisional (temporary) partner visa it takes the Home Affairs 17 months even after charging a whopping fee of $7000 !

Students are allowed to work 40 hours per fortnight and their partners are allowed to work full time if the primary applicant is enrolled for graduate studies (i.e. Masters in some bs ). I honestly fail to understand how the issuance of such visas will bring economic benefits to Australia. I certainly can not understand the need to expedite such applications with high priority for a 30 day turnaround. Also the various program intended to attract Asian applicants in fact attract a lot of criminal elements involved in Money Laundering. Until the recent Banking Royal Commission Banks did very title to investigate the source of foreign funds to Australia.

Why is the Real Estate market in NSW and VIC so hot? The so called investors who bring money to Australia don't care about the valuation as as their primary goal is to launder black money and safely park it in Australia. Can an average Australian even earning $100K per year afford to purchase a property in NSW or VIC. We need a Donald Trump in Australia who policy decision that puts the interest of local citizens ahead of the businesses waiting to make quick money by selling out the country and don't care about the long-term implication for the country

Evidence of proficiency in English is NOT required to study in Australia
If you don't know English it is perfectly fine as long as you pay !
Migration Agents engineering the enrollment students without English proficiency is NOT considered Visa Fraud

Why would there be such a disparity to issue a temporary partner visa and a student visa ?

The well funded powerful education lobby has made prior arrangements with border security to process student visa's on a top priority basis citing their business model. However, there are no advocates in parliament for family reunion and importantly to question unreasonably lengthy processing times for partner visas

First of all if you r a genuine applicant then you don't need to worry about to refuse visa it may take longer to be approved and secondly I am sending you link here just you need to select what visa you have applied so select partner visa and then rest of detail you will see including priority options as well.
I don't wanna disturb you to tell that the wouldn't take you in priority coz of pregnancy but just wanna aware you. What oversies post section select New Delhi and then second box open Type of Inquiry so select Partner visa then you will see all detail under the box.
