Please update your flag here .

hello everyone,

Recently I have applied for my wife's 309 partner visa. She lives in Bangladesh. I have already provided all supporting documents including medical and PCC. The current processing time is 14-20 months. Is there anything I can do to minimize the processing time. I have applied online via Immi Account. Also, I read some news about the department is refusing Visitor Visa while 309 visa is in progress. They said there are less chances of the applicant going back. Please suggest me what to do.

Has anyone recently applied from Bangladesh for 309. If yes how long the processing took and which visa processing office processed the visa

Hey Priya,

You have waited long enough, just a couple more days..
There could be 2 possibilities:
1) Since itís been 12 months, they could be working on processing your spouse visa grant instead of granting you the visitors.
2) You may get your visitors visa in a few days time.

Do let us know which one it is..
Good luck!

Hello fahim,

If you have already submitted your medical and PCC then the application is front loaded and all you can do now is wait... it will take some time.
As for visitors visa, you can apply for it but make sure you mention your salary details and that you shall sponsor your spouse and bear their expenses while they are in Australia.

Hi all
My husband’s offshore partner visa refused today. It’s heartbreaking as the material I uploaded every two three months. the case officer lady stated that I dont have a relationship showing in the photos like a partner, a friend can be possibly be in those photos like that. Photos of marriages, parties, functions, all couldn’t satisfy her. About The call history she stated that she is not sure what we talked about. What she explained it seems like they just wanted to refuse visa.
AAT application is the option now.
Any suggestions really appreciate.
Thanks
Regards

Hi Nitz7,
I applied for my husband same time as yours 28 March 2018, submitted medical along with application. We received email for PCC on 1June 2018, submitted it on 26 June.
I wonder if you got your grant? I am still waiting.
Thanks
Hey did you get the visa?
No not yet, but received an automatic generated email today that my application is progressing. I hope they grant it soon.

You need to provide us more details if you want our feedback

Where did you have the wedding? Do you have lot of pictures with wedding guest. How did you both meet. Did you provide details about how your relationship developed.
Did you provide affidavits from friends and relatives about your relationship.

Other possible items
If previously married, were the original legal separation documents uploaded
Were all the documents authentic ( some overseas migration agents manufacturer documents) which clients may not be aware of but are ultimately responsible

They wont refuse a tourist visa unless you talk too much about the partner visa or you talk too much about missing her etc.

Make an itenary of places you want to show you wife in Australia. At least 30 places or events like cricket matches, music shows etc.
Show Bank statements and advise you will support her and on her return home via western union etc.
Advise that you will purchase return tickets for her and travel medical insurance once its approved.
Its a tourist VISA make it sound like one.
Don't request the longest term 12months because they may only give her 1 month.

Also don't forget to add form 888 to your Visa Application, find at least 4 friends. Not sure if Bangladesh has State Decs if you don't have family/friends here in Australia.
Also complete sign and scan a form 80 for you wife and attach it too.
