I'm from July 2018. applied tourist visa 3 times altogether. First one was refused as i wasn't working back then, granted the second one but only for a month and refused the 3rd one for no any reason at all. all the documents and proofs were provided still They thought I'm not genuine visitor that's all was their statement. ridiculous!

I'm working. they just want to refuse that's all. if you are not working it's easy for them to give the reason of unemployment and if you are working they will find something else.
In my case, literally they didn't find any issue and said that apparently "the standard of life in home country is lower than in Australia " (that's what they think) therefore they think I won't return. WTF!!!

Hi Alle,
Sorry to hear your sad story. I can feel your pain when it is refused after 17 months.

Although your relationship is genuine, it appears to the outside world as a non-genuine relationship established just for immigration purposes. Now, somehow you and your partner need to reverse that view. Just getting married offshore may not be sufficient to reverse the decision because such a marriage can be arranged just for immigration purposes. If both of you are fully committed to each other with a strong relationship, I think you can reverse the decision.

If your Australian partner can easily get a partner visa in your country, you can get married onshore or offshore and then your partner could migrate to your country and have a married life together for 1 to 2 years. And then you have a very strong case and tangible proof that your relationship is genuine. Then you can apply for Australian partner visa and I am sure, your application will be successful.

Anyhow, your case is very complicated, please contact a registered migration agent from this forum for advise.

Hope you will see a happy ending, Regards SLB.

Hi All,

This thread has gone very quiet. Is it due to no much activity in AHC in New Delhi? Are there any grants for the members applied in early 2019. Are there many outstanding cases from early 2018?

We have lodged our application in early 2019 but haven't heard anything yet.

Please keep this thread alive. Do not let this thread die.
Regards, SLB

Hi,
I’m just wondering if anyone knows if a family sponsored visitor visa can be granted for a duration of 6 weeks ? From what I’ve seen online they do 3, 6 or 12 month visas but some people on here have been given 1 month. My husband will only have leave from work for 6 weeks so it’s unlikely they will grant a 3 month visa based on that, is it possible to get a 6 week visa or are they likely to grant a 1 month if they can’t give us 3?
Any help would be appreciated
