My husband will only have leave from work for 6 weeks so itís unlikely they will grant a 3 month visa based on that, is it possible to get a 6 week visa or are they likely to grant a 1 month if they canít give us 3?
Any help would be appreciated
I expect you could apply for 3 months visa and they will decide the length based on the information that you have provided. You can attach a letter indicating that you expect to stay in Australia only for 6 weeks.

ello guys,
me and my husband had interview on 6th September, after 14 months and 25 days wait my interview was for 41 minutes due to my previous relationship and previous immigration history though it wasn't complicated and my husband's one was for 17 minutes.
they want police clearance for both of us, and many more evidences of our relationship. We plan to submit everything by Sunday.
one question, any idea how long they will take after document submission??
and my application was lodged from New Delhi office

It might be granted for 2 months, I think they grant it in intervals of months ie 1, 2 or 3 months. My husband only had 2 weeks leave so requested to visit me for 2 weeks and was granted 1 month recently.

It's a bit soon I think... from what I'm reading, they're processing a mix of Nov 18 to Jan/Feb 19 applications...

Recently I have been seeing people who lodged from Canada, USA getting their results very soon . For example : A person who lodged in the month of April/May 2019 from those countries got their grant by the end of August 2019 .

Now coming to the previous year ( 2017-2018) applied date and grant date . Below is the pdf document from the department of home affairs where the application lodged date and granted date have been given for the applications from New Delhi. This would give us a rough idea on when we would get our visa if they process the visas like last year

Use the abbreviation for worldwideweb for the below and search it in google you would get the link as this forum is not allowing me to post it , since I have less than five post.

homeaffairs.gov.au/foi/files/2018/2018-180800284-document-released.pdf

Here we could notice that most of the Indian applications which were lodged or processed in New Delhi in the year 2018 were granted in October,November,December of 2018.

Hopefully if this happens even in 2019, it would be great. Fingers Crossed.

There can be some little difference. I would urge those applying now or already applied to read keenly these valuable information.

I also expect the same procedures, compare what others who applied in Nairobi told me before. The information and steps are just one and the same. I am on the first step, As I have only received the acknowledgement letter, with my file number and the COs name and email address. I included my Police Check with the application, only that as advised me by my immi agent. I will make use of your information, Becky.

I am happy to have pple like Becky and CG and of course Mark Northman- a Famous Immi Agent.

I appreciate your tireless support for all applicants.

Good luck everybody
Hi ALL,
I am in trouble to process partner visa subclass 100 (permanent partner visa). I have been told to submit all papers for PR but I did not. I am back to Bangladesh last year as I had trouble with my partner, my sponsor. After one year we just communicate with each other .

I am holding temporary partner visa. I just sent a letter to day by describing the situation and request them to retain my temporary visa ,, and I do not to progress for PR. I will think in some stage in future.

are they going to cancel my valid temporary visa????

regards

Hey guys good news my 309 got approved today. I front loaded my application and kept updating my documents every 2-3 months. 2 times visitor visa refused while I was waiting. Third time I applied for my visitor on 12 sep 2019 and on 18 sep I was sent a checklist to double check my documents. And was given 14 days to press ‘OK’ that I am ready with someone to assess my file.
I added more documents like recent bank statements, phone calls and chats.
And today on 11 oct I received my grant in email.
There was no further communication in between. Worked out Just perfect.
In the end I had to withdraw my last visitor application.
Although my case was a bit complicated but we had given enough evidence and maintained positive mind set.
All the best to you guys.
May everyone is granted speedy approvals smoothly properly and rapidly.
